Introduction
The WhatsApp Business API integration in plemeo.ai is based on a clearly structured architecture that includes both administrative and individual configuration tasks. While some steps only need to be carried out once, others can be repeated as needed.
Structure and Responsibilities
Super Admin Tasks (once per organization):
Set up the basic Meta API infrastructure, which includes creating a Meta Developer Account, the WhatsApp Business App, business verification, and the setup of system users and webhooks.
Organization-wide configuration in plemeo.ai: Store the webhook verification token and the permanent Graph API token in the settings.
These steps form the basis for using the WhatsApp Business API and only need to be done once per organization.
User Tasks (individual per phone number):
Add phone numbers: Each user can add phone numbers to an existing WhatsApp account, verify and register them.
Individual configuration in plemeo.ai: Enter the phone number ID in the app configuration to enable personal use of WhatsApp.
These steps can be repeated as needed, e.g. when new numbers are added or existing ones replaced.
