Creating a System User
You need to create a System User and generate a permanent access token.
Steps
1. Create System User
- Go to Business Settings > Users > System Users in Meta Business Manager
- Click "Add System User", enter a name (e.g., "API Integration"), select the Admin role, and create the user
2. Assign App to System User
- After creation, click "Assign Assets" on the right
- Select the created app and define permissions
3. Generate Permanent Access Token
- Go to System Users > Select your user
- Click "Generate Token", choose the linked app, and enable necessary permissions for WhatsApp
- Save the token securely; it will be needed later in plemeo.ai configuration
Required Permissions
When generating the access token, ensure you enable these WhatsApp permissions:
- whatsapp_business_management: Manage WhatsApp Business accounts
- whatsapp_business_messaging: Send and receive messages
- business_management: Manage business assets

- One-Time Setup: System user creation is done once per organization
