K-Value
Definition: Defines the number of most likely completions to be considered.
- Higher Value: Results in a wider variety of potential responses
- Lower Value: More focused and consistent responses
- Recommended Range: 3-10 depending on use case
- Impact: Affects response diversity and creativity
Similarity Cutoff
Definition: Sets the threshold for how closely a response must match the input in terms of relevance or similarity.
- Lower Value: Ensures responses are more closely related to the input, focusing on precision
- Higher Value: Allows for more flexibility, generating broader or more diverse answers
- Balance: Adjusting this parameter helps fine-tune between response diversity and accuracy
- Typical Range: 0.1-0.9 (where 0.1 is very strict, 0.9 is very flexible)
