What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a framework that lets you interact with external services and APIs using natural language. Describe what you want to do, and MCP translates your intent into the right API operations.

Where to Find MCP Chat

  • Location: Open the Chat page in the app
  • Activation: Toggle MCP mode in the chat interface
  • Indicator: The chat shows "MCP Mode" when active

Activate MCP Services

Before using MCP in chat, activate the services you need:

  1. Go to the Apps page
  2. Open the MCPs tab
  3. Click Configure on a service
  4. Enter credentials as instructed per service
  5. Activate the service

How to Use MCP Chat

  1. Toggle MCP mode in chat
  2. Type your request in English or German
  3. MCP detects the right service
  4. MCP executes the command via APIs
  5. Results are displayed in the chat

Notes

  • Multi-language: English and German supported
  • Recommendation: Mention the target service in your request (e.g., "via MS365", "create JIRA ticket")

Examples

User: "Send an email to john@example.com with subject 'Meeting Tomorrow' via MS365"
MCP: Automatically uses Microsoft 365 service to send the email
User: "Create a JIRA ticket for project ABC with title 'Login Bug'"
MCP: Automatically uses JIRA service to create the ticket
User: "Sende eine E-Mail an team@company.com über Outlook"
MCP: Automatically uses Outlook service to send the email in German
